On 08, Sep 2011 | No Comments | In endloop, Startups | By Linda
TORONTO, CANADA, Sept 8, 2011 — Endloop Studios, the award winning app development studio, originally founded by Ken Seto and Garry Seto, relaunches today as Endloop Mobile Inc.
With a renewed focus on mobile application development for Apple’s iOS ( iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch ), Google’s Android and Microsoft’s Windows Mobile 7, Endloop Mobile aims to become Canada’s premiere application development agency.
“We’re refocusing our efforts on building Endloop Mobile into a bigger team, a stronger team and one that can take us to where we need to go.” says Ken Seto, Chairman of Endloop Mobile and CEO of sister company Massive Damage. “With the new hires, recent press attention and expanded client roster, we’re ready to make that leap.”
Alongside the relaunch, Endloop Mobile also announced the hiring of Kerry Morrison as CEO and has named Mark Pavlidis and Bretton MacLean to its new executive team. Pavlidis and MacLean having just come off the success of another of Toronto’s hot application startups, Guardly Inc., bring their expansive mobile development experience and skills to the Endloop Mobile team. Pavlidis joins as Director of Development and MacLean as Creative Director.
“What better way to kick off a new role, than with the hiring of two app development rock stars.” says Kerry Morrison, new Endloop Mobile CEO. “From the development of the Kobo e-Reader app, to Task Ave, TweetAgora, Guardly and numerous other projects, Brett and Mark have an unmatched level of experience in this space.”
Endloop Mobile has also been named one of the Digital Media companies to watch by Marketing Magazine, the bible of the Advertising, Media & PR agencies in Canada.
Alongside service work Endloop Mobile will continue work on its award winning products, iMockups and Chicken Balls both available now on the iTunes App Store.
Endloop Mobile is open for business and accepting new clients.

First off, Endloop Studios is proud to announce Endloop X, a new venture building a location-based social gaming platform with the remarkable team at Year One Labs in Montreal. More news on Endloop X as we make progress.
App Development Services
We’re expanding our services division. We’ve got a number of really exciting teams we are working with on the services side of our business, and we’ll be revamping our website to showcase some of the great work and great people we’ve had a chance to work with.
In the meantime, here are some samples of the amazing work our team has done for our clients (click to view full image):
Chicken Balls and More
And last, but certainly not least, we’re also continuing to expand our own app catalogue. You may have heard that our next big app will be the game Chicken Balls (a teaser here: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=72139), which we will be launching in the very near future. We also have a backlog of kick-ass games and apps that will be seeing the light of day in 2011.
Thanks to all of our dear clients, customers and friends for all your support as we grow and continue to push the envelope of mobile innovation in Canada.

5 Steps to Appiness (or how to build great apps and run a successful app company)
On 06, Oct 2010 | 9 Comments | In endloop, Startups | By ken
This post is a summary of my talk at the Mobile Biz BootCamp conference last month. People seemed to like the talk and have requested that I post it.
Unfortunately, most of my slides were 1 liners so there’s no point in putting it up on SlideShare so I figured I’d make a proper blog post out of it. Here goes:
5 Steps to Appiness
1. Don’t work on a crappy idea
Aside from the obvious, this means you should not get too attached to your app ideas. At Endloop, we have about 3 games and 2 productivity apps that are in the ‘not sure about this’ bin.
It’s tough to scrap a product in development but you’re not really throwing away your learnings. Besides, one thing we’ve learned is that getting the app made is just the beginning. Launching, marketing, and supporting an app costs time and money. There is also an opportunity cost in that you’re not working on other apps that might be more worthy of your time.
*Note: this assumes you’re trying to launch a real product, not just a fart app etc..

TweetCapz’ First Reviews!
On 17, Aug 2009 | No Comments | In endloop, Startups | By garry
As some of you may know, TweetCapz is now available on the iTunes App Store. We haven’t reached out to the media yet because we wanted to wait for version 1.1 to be approved. TweetCapz 1.1 has so many great new features that we thought it would be best to wait. However, we’re happy to see that Mark Evans has already given TweetCapz a great review on his site, Mark Evans Tech – “TweetCapz – Adding Fun to Photos”.
Today, I’m taking a look at TweetCapz, an iPhone application that lets you add captions, speech bubbles and emoticons to photos that you can share on Twitter, Facebook or via e-mail.
After installation the application (it costs $1.99 but there’s a special launch price of 99 cents), TweetCapz gives you two options: you can take a new photo or use an existing photo on your iPhone.
After adding a caption, bubble or emoticon, you select how you want to share the photo, and send it on its way. Below, you’ll see a photo that I recently took, and shared through Twitter.
TweetCapz is quick, easy to use and entertaining. For 99 cents, it’s a pretty good investment.
You can read the entire review here.
Also, we’re ecstatic to have received coverage from Tech Vibes regarding both TweetCapz as well as our How To Launch your 1st iPhone App in 28 days blog series.
Endloop teaches you how to launch your 1st iPhone App in 28 days
If you’re thinking about developing your own iPhone App, be sure to check out Endloop’s Blog. The brothers are sharing their experience via a series called How to start, built, launch and market your first iPhone App in 28 days.
Thanks, Mark Evans and TechVibes!
